The Makana 100 was designed around the Vibe Select-a-Pod system, which gives you the option to utilize the included Paddle Pod configuration, or swap it out for pedal driven options with the X-Drive Kit, or Impulse Drive Kit. The X-Drive features a fin style drive system letting you pedal in shallower weedier waters, while the Impulse Drive allows you to take advantage of instant reverse with its propeller style design. Both pedal pods and the Paddle Pod can be swapped with each other without modification making the Makana the best throw-and-go kayak in Vibe’s lineup.
